After meeting as invited guest artists to the 2008 Carnegie Hall/Weill Institute "Improvised Opera" program with Bobby McFerrin, Nihan Devecioglu and Matta began collaborating as a duo, then as a trio, with Devecioglu's colleage from Istanbul, renowned fretless guitarist and composer, Cenk Erdogan. The three began touring in Austria/Germany throughout 2010-2013, and recorded their eponymous 2012 release, Çark, in Istanbul, at Erdogan's Studio Undo, on Anason Records
